I had decided several years ago that I wanted to make a conscious shift in the focus of my songwriting, which had become socially conscious and politically charged during the Bush years, towards writing music with more universal and lasting themes: love, faith and spirituality. So, I feel good about the direction I’m taking in that regard.

It had been a while since I wrote solely instrumental music. I’d like to say I’m equally creative all the time in terms of writing music, but it seems to come more in periodic tsunamis of inspiration.
