Write On! Copywriting and Editing

I’ve always enjoyed writing and recently added it to my suite of services. The increase in writing jobs arose from demand: many of my clients had content that needed that extra ‘little something.’  So, I would help them tweak text — do a little editing over here — massage those one or two awkward sentences over there. I revel in finding the perfect word or crafting the perfect phrase that captures the mood; augments the communication; creates that lasting impression in a customer’s mind.

A common problem clients have is writing about themselves (the dreaded ‘About page’). I’ve helped a lot of people with that – either by editing what they’ve written, or using a casual interview process to flesh out the details and interesting tidbits of a person’s life. I see the beauty, strength and talent in people – and I like to communicate that with language. I have found that the process of examining and pulling out the highlights of a person’s life can be sometimes be an epiphany for them. People who think of their lives as ordinary and ‘normal’ may suddenly see how extraordinary and exceptional they really are.

In high school I augmented my English classes with creative writing, journalism and bible literature. Over the last 20 years, I’ve written numerous speeches, statements and introductions for live events, fund-raisers, benefits and concerts I’ve either hosted or been a guest speaker.

I am  a songwriter as well, so I am constantly working with language and meaning, telling stories, and toying with the assemblage of words and phrases that form the lyrical component of music. I am certain that I can assist you with your copywriting needs, whatever they may be.

Samples of my work? Well, I’ve written all the content on my site. ‘Not impressed,’ you say?
Well, here are a couple of samples: I’ll be posting more.
